Zumba is an exercise dance that combines simple dance moves to rhythmic music with aerobic exercise. With its spicy and passionate style, Zumba has become the most popular workout class, and the weight loss technique of many celebrities. Zumba evolved from dance, combining samba, cha cha, salsa, reggae, flamenco, tango and various styles of South American dance. The term “Zumba” originates in Colombian slang, meaning “rapid movement”. A typical 60 minute Zumba class is separated into several sections with varying rhythm intensities, allowing students to experience fully the joy, excitement and romance of Latin dance. Zumba will bring pleasure and relaxation to any student, regardless of their dance background.
