Vaganova Ballet Method!
Warmly welcome Teacher Polina Petrova and Teacher Yifushu Na (Esther)!
Introduction to the Vaganova Ballet Method
The Vaganova Ballet Method is a famous Russian ballet training method, founded by Maria Vaganova in the early 20th century. Vaganova was a famous Russian ballet educator. She worked as a dancer at the Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg and later became a ballet teacher. She developed a systematic teaching method by summarizing her rich stage experience and in-depth research on ballet art, which had a profound impact on the world's ballet art.
The influence of the Vaganova system
- The Vaganova system became the core training method of Russian ballet and was widely used around the world.
- The St. Petersburg Vaganova Ballet Academy was named after Maria Vaganova and became one of the most famous ballet schools in the world, training many famous dancers such as Galina Ulanova and Rudolf Nureyev.
